En ese discurso tambi\u00e9n a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que la batalla de Carabobo \u201c\u2026es la batalla por la Patria, es la batalla por la vida\u201d, para culminar estableciendo que la Independencia es la \u00fanica forma de tener Patria.<\/p>\n<p>Y tiene raz\u00f3n el Comandante Ch\u00e1vez, esta es la lucha que libramos hoy como pueblo combatiente por la libertad y la justicia. Hace 200 a\u00f1os, con el Libertador Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar al frente, derrotamos al decadente y anacr\u00f3nico imperio colonial espa\u00f1ol y como resultado de cruenta guerra de liberaci\u00f3n de la cual fue parte sustantiva la batalla de Carabobo- lo expulsamos de Venezuela y de todo el continente.<\/p>\n<p>Dos siglos despu\u00e9s nos enfrentamos al imperialismo decadente que quiere destruirnos como pueblo y como proyecto pol\u00edtico, social, econ\u00f3mico y cultural emancipatorio, para someter las luchas de los pueblos del continente por la soberan\u00eda y garantizar su hegemon\u00eda la del imperialismo sobre la base de la apropiaci\u00f3n y explotaci\u00f3n de nuestras riquezas naturales y la expoliaci\u00f3n de nuestros pueblos.<\/p>\n<p>Hoy Venezuela est\u00e1 en el centro de la contradicci\u00f3n hist\u00f3rica entre el socialismo y el capitalismo, entre la paz y la guerra, entre la edificaci\u00f3n de un futuro ambientalmente sustentable para la humanidad y su destrucci\u00f3n, entre la vida y la muerte. En esa disyuntiva hist\u00f3rica nosotros optamos por el socialismo, la paz, el futuro sustentable y la vida.<\/p>\n<p>Es la batalla de Carabobo hoy, la misma lucha por los mismos objetivos de libertad, justicia y paz del 24 de junio de 1821 en las condiciones de 198 a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s. Su desenlace tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1 el mismo, la derrota hist\u00f3rica del imperialismo y la victoria del Socialismo Bolivariano y Chavista.
