Unas 240 toneladas diarias de harina de ma\u00edz precocida son procesadas por la planta del Complejo Empresarial Proalca Ares<\/a><\/strong>, ubicada en la parroquia R\u00edo Acarigua del municipio Araure, en el estado Portuguesa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante el programa Cultivando Patria N\u00b0 207, transmitido por Venezolana de Televisi\u00f3n (VTV), el ministro del Poder Popular para la Agricultura Productiva y Tierras, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, destac\u00f3 que este grupo produce la harina precocida Arepa, una de las 145 marcas existentes en el pa\u00eds, que cuenta con las presentaciones: Ma\u00edz blanco, ma\u00edz amarillo y mezcla con arroz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por su parte, el gerente de Operaciones de la planta, ingeniero Jos\u00e9 Lugo, indic\u00f3 que el sistema de la planta es totalmente automatizado. \u201cEl proceso de consumo es de m\u00e1s de 350 toneladas diarias y el procesamiento de la harina es de 240 toneladas diarias\u201d, precis\u00f3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Explic\u00f3 que, para llegar al producto final, el ma\u00edz debe pasar por un proceso de germinaci\u00f3n para descartar el afrecho y el endospermo, que es el rubro limpio, luego pasa por un sistema de precocci\u00f3n, donde es laminado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El ingeniero agroindustrial, Bernardo Ojeda, ratific\u00f3 que trabajan para producir harina de buena calidad que ir\u00e1 a manos del pueblo. Adem\u00e1s, coment\u00f3 que gracias al progreso tecnol\u00f3gico se ha mejorado la labor para incrementar los vol\u00famenes de producci\u00f3n y de mayor rendimiento.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
